He's actually a pretty damn good guy.

The sad thing about it to me is the message this may send to young Sardars "things will get better...but only if you cut your hair."

I am glad he found success and is happy and proud of his accomplishments, but the "fitting in and eliminating the noise" comment where he says he is now proud of being different seems a bit phony in light of the fact that he cut his hair.

thats what i was thinking as well, guys a legend and someone that i think the masses aspire to be, but that exact comment had me a little iffy because being different (the way he puts it) is about him being the black sheep in the herd and being sucesssful. I'd have to agree with you though, his statement about being different isnt as meaningful after the fact he cut his hair. With that said, he is still a young successful role model for little punjabi kids.
